What is gel nail polish ?  Gel nail polish is applied like polish but creates a perfect  flawless manicure. Clients love the idea of gel polish. There are many brands of gel polish but mostly are applied similar.  What your clients are looking for is a gel polish that is chip free and glossy.  That is what you will learn on our gel nail polish courses. Is this a Shellac gel polish course?

Many people ask this, BUT Shellac is just a brand that spend 1000's if not millions on marketing and so people sometimes think that Shellac IS gel polish and there is no other.  Well there are 100's all with different names and varying price tags.  Shellac being one of the most expensive, so if you use that on your clients YOU will make less profit, Shellac will make more profit!  Unless you try and charge you client more, but they will probably not pay it.

What is Gel Polish?

Many people have heard of Shellac and many think that is gel polish.  Also they have heard of Gelish and again think that is gel polish.  Well gel polish is gel polish, Shellac and Gelish are brands of gel polish like numerous others on the market.
You will pay much more for branded gel polishes, as the reason they are well known is due to the amount of marketing which we pay for.   All gel polishes if applied correctly are good.  Gel polishes look like a nail varnish at first glance, in a nail varnish bottle,
but they are cured (dried) under a UV or LED lamp in a matter of seconds.   They create a permanent chip proof glossy colour for your client, which these days is what busy clients want.   Doing a gel polish course with us will enable you to start your own gel polish business.

Should i do the manicure course too?

We do offer manicure courses but, that is up to you, but many clients expect at least a mini manicure such as cuticle work and file nails to shape before applying gel polish, which you will cover.  More in depth manicure routine is covered on our manicure courses
