Some Companies use hotel rooms, is this any good?
We used to do this and found them unsuitable for learners, as tables chairs etc are not normally used for nail and beauty training.
We have a designated training room, where you can learn much more efficiently, as it is quiet and set up extremely well.
How can we train people in one day?
Because our days are very long! Some nail courses are 10am -5pm, this is not long enough. And we are very experienced!
Some Companies are saying this can't be done, but THEY want your business! It CAN be done 'cos we do it all the time!!
Plus we do this successfully, which they may object to, as you would not be booking with them. NVQ's at college take months to complete, due to
repetition and much theory! All this is not becessary to be successful and make money as a nail tech.
Tesco and Asda are always competeing!! One saying they are better than the other. Same with nails.
You can make your own mind up. We are not saying that you would be a competition winner in one day!
You would need ongoing practice, as with anything to be good at it. Some students need more practice than others and you never stop improving.
We have trained 1000's of people and so have 25 years of experience in nails and approx 15 in teaching, some tutors may not have this experience.
We only have small groups, so much more individual attention, which is what you need in a practical class, whereas at College the groups are much
much larger, 15-40 students, with only one tutor per group. Linda has taught at collegse and so knows this.
Some courses are 2-3 days, but this is 10am-4pm with a longer lunch break and some coffee breaks. We only have one small half hour lunch
break and our day is 9am prompt til 6-6.30pm. So our one day is approximately similar hours as other 2 day courses. The 2 or 3 day courses may spend
all morning explaining their products. We explain about products as you use them during your day, thus saving you money by using up LESS of your
valuable time. Our one day courses also save you traveling twice! Again saving you money.
Some of our trainees are now earning in excess of £500 per week in nail extensions. Some have got jobs within 3 months! They tell us so!
Why is your course so cheap?
Why not question the high priced courses! Why is their cost so high??
Actually we say 'superb value' and we wonder why other providers courses charge such high prices! Because they can!
And possibly paying for a brand 'name'. Alos because some people pay it! Plus some people believe more expensive courses are better, which is up to
them, we feel not necessarily.....
Some courses include 'practising days' which costs YOU money! We don't do this as we know you can practice in your own time for FREE!.
We are at the end of the phone whenever you want free of charge. Also, sometimes people have 'heard of' brands and think they need to train
with them, because a friend (who may know nothing) or other nail tech has said this, as they may have trained with a brand and paid more, so
may feel you should spend more too! (MAY feel they paid too much possibly!) But, you can choose who to train with. Some 'branded' training can be
much more expensive. Its your choice. It is commitment to practice and technicians attitutde that makes you excellent, not necessarily just branded

Some courses are longer why is this?
Some courses accommodate 'practicing' days in with their training, which all costs you money. Also, they may spend time going over their product
ranges. This costs YOU money. Whilst you need masses of practice, and actually you never stop learning, we do not feel we want to charge you for
this. Colleges spend lots of time going over the same parts of a course i.e applying tips, soaking off , same again, same again........
But, we just 'get on with it' and we are at the end of the phone to help whenever you wish afterwards and for however long, free of charge!
Which again SAVES YOU MONEY. We love you to ring as it means you are doing well. Some courses spend longer on theory. You can buy theory books
to read which we xab recommend. We spend longer on the practical application, as it is a practical skill! You can buy cd's on 'how to apply nail extensions'
Training companies have their own methods of training you for however many days they see fit. WE KNOW ours works! You choose what
Companies methods you prefer, by asking questions and decide for yourself. Some courses spend hours on nail diseases, then tell you not to
diagnose anything! Costs YOU money. Linda has only seen nail fungal from wearing nails (usually clients fault!) and a couple of clients had allergic
reactions in 25 years, so it is reasonably UNcommon. We have some previous students who we know are earning in excess of £500 per week from our
one day training, because they tell us, plus we can tell from the amount of products they re - order! Promotion and advertsiing would be needed, as
customers do not find you, you look for them.! So whatever price or length course you attend, you would need to find customers and spend on marketing
yourself.
Working on each other
We practice on each other on the course day. As we don't know anyone, we cannot judge who will work best with who. So, this is something not in
our control. However, this is good practice as you will get all types of different clients, different personalities/ ages etc. We encourage you to make
mistakes, whilst teaching you to protect / keep damage to clients natural nails to an absolute minimum. Please listen on the course, when we are
teaching you to blend the nail tips. Try to follow the tutors.
What if I can't do it'
This is a good question. The likelyhood is because you want to be there, you've chosen the subject, AND PAID FOR YOUSELF!, and we have extensive experience, and our speciality is in training in nail extensions with students with no prior knowledge, we have found that in nearly every case people have done very well and surprised themselves how well they have actually done.
Obviously some elements you will pick up easier than others. But, there are text books and cds around on how to apply nails which can add to your learning. We offer free phone or e mail help after your training. Also, we can offer hourly extra tuition for a small fee if required., where you can choose the elements you wish to practice.
From the 1000's of people we have trained we have found that only about 1-2% struggle, which we feel is not many. But unfortunatley you would not know this until you try. These people would need to train a little further, and with a little extra help could end up being very good if they persist, but that is up to each individual to put the effort in! This is a one day course and is the very basics to learn the techniques. There is no other way to improve except practice!
We feel that once someone is in an industry you should do ongoning training anyway to keep up with trends and knowledge and to hone your skills.
We feel our courses and prices is a relatively low cost to start a business and take a risk as to wether it is for you. All business needs effort, nothing comes easy! But the rewards can be high IF YOU WORK HARD.
Can i soak my nails off the next day?
Yes please let us know on the course day, as we will put soak off gel on you, so it is easier to remove. Please be careful if removing your nails, do not over file!. Your nails have been filed on the course day, we are not responsible for you removing your own nails.
How does the pay in instalments work?
You would pay £100 month one, £100 month 2 (before the course date)
Then pay the balance of £49.99 on the training day.
I have seen home study courses, what about these?
We feel that with this being a practical subject, having a real tutor there is far better than just being able to phone a tutor. Our tutors will help with everything you do, rather than you wondering how to do something. We know you may have to travel however far and sort childcare etc, but we feel this is worth it for having a tutor present. Also practising on a real person is like being in the real world, not using a plastic practise hand.
